Amy was born with a condition called PFFD, meaning she is missing the majority of her right leg and has used a prosthesis since she was one year old. Amy never pursued athletics until after moving to Nashville and joining a boxing gym in 2015. In fact, she grew up most of her life telling people that she was “one of the least athletic people they would ever meet.” Since her move to Nashville, Amy has been on a journey of gaining skill and confidence, both as an athlete and young adult. Amy started training and competing in CrossFit in 2021, and competed in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 CrossFit Games.
Amy has spoken to a variety of audiences, from students, athletes, and business professionals. She was featured in ESPN’s 2021 “That’s a W” commercial, and is sponsored by 1st Phorm.
In addition to individual and group coaching, Amy also serves as a motivational speaker.

Amy offers instructional information about her adaptive life and adjusting to prosthetics. She has spoke to a variety of school platforms, ranging from middle school students to physical therapy students.
